Kelvin Tan
Kelvin has over 25 years experience in commercial litigation, business law and executive management roles.
Kelvin graduated in 1989 from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Jurisprudence. He was admitted to practice in Western Australia in 1990.
In 1998, Kelvin commenced his own consultancy working with private equity and assumed various roles as In-house Legal Counsel to a number of ASX/AIM listed mining and resources, and oil and gas companies.
After joining Clayton Utz as an articled clerk in 1990 he was appointed as senior associate in 1995. He worked for several years in the Project Litigation team on complex litigation including asbestos and tobacco claims, the Western Australian Royal Commission into Commercial Activities of Government and Other Matters, the Bell Group Litigation, as well as other large construction litigations and arbitrations in the resources sector.
His diverse experience in litigation and as Legal Counsel in senior management teams enables him to see issues from a client commercial and legal perspective.
Kelvin has joined Lawfield to assist in growing its Australian legal offerings to clients in Singapore and the South-east Asian region.
